Pre-insulated bootlace pins are designed to be crimped to stranded copper conductors, the tinned copper end sleeve contains the strands and protects the conductor stranding prior to screw terminal insertion and fastening. The coloured polyamide insulation is tapered to funnel the conductor strands into the pin and to protect cable from adjacent conductors. The French colour code is typically used in Australia, consult the colour cross-reference table below if there is any confusion when working on imported equipment. All Red2go bootlace terminals are UL Listed to maintain consistency and performance.
